Amazing experience, highly recommended.

Outstanding tour with BH Lanka Tours!!
My partner and I just got back from a 14-day tour of Sri Lanka with BH Lanka Tours and we highly recommend these guys if you are considering a tour of Sri Lanka. The positive experience started even before we commenced the tour. When I first enquired online, I was assisted by Chamini Jayadewa from the BH team, who then assisted me through the entire tour customisation and booking process. I made several tweaks and additions to the itinerary and hotel accommodation and each time Chamini got back to me in a very quick time and was able to accommodate everything that I had asked for and make some really fantastic suggestions which worked out to be just perfect. The really amazing experience continued to get even better once we arrived in Sri Lank and started out tour. Our guide was Aruna Dasanayake and he was incredible right from the very start. We didn’t realise that we would be getting the same guide and driver for the entire tour. This is just such amazing value for money. We had expected larger buses with larger groups and multiple guides throughout the trip, but to have Aruna the whole time and have our own private transport made us feel so safe and comfortable (and a little spoilt!). He was on time to pick us up every single day, like clockwork and every time we would arrive at a new Hotel Aruna would accompany us and ensure that everything was OK before he left. Aruna has so much knowledge of Sri Lanka and was able to answer all of our questions. He was also quite funny which made us laugh and kept the journey fun and entertaining. I had broken a cord for my camera the previous day and Aruna took us straight to Kurunegala city and hunted down a new one for me, he was persistent and didn’t stop until we found what I needed. The next day in Sigiriya my partner mentioned that it was my birthday (which we had not advised the tour company of, nor expected anything special) and when we arrived back to our room from our hike up Sigiriya Rock, there were flowers and a beautiful message spelt out on our bed wishing me a happy birthday. Later that afternoon when Aruna picked us for a safari tour, he had organised the car to be full of balloons and before we jumped into the safari vehicle, he surprised me with a cake and a group of locals to sing happy birthday for me and a present. Aruna did all of this without us even asking, we were completely shocked and so grateful It was just an outstanding experience and made my birthday a very special one. We expressed an interest in cricket, so Aruna went out of the way to take us to all of the international cricket stadiums in Kandy and Galle, he got us access to some great areas, my partner was absolutely thrilled with this!! I had also purchased a ring in Kandy which needed to be custom made and would be delivered to me in Colombo on our last day, Aruna surprised us later that evening by tracking us down and hand delivering it me!! On the last day, our flight wasn’t until midnight and we know that we would have long wait at the airport, but once again we were pleasantly surprised when we asked to go to the casino in Colombo and were told that he would pick us up afterwards and take us to the airport (at 9pm at night!). These are just a few examples of things that Aruna did to make our trip super special. He really did just go above and beyond at every turn and completely exceeded our expectations! Once again, we highly recommend BH Lanka Tours if you are thinking about a tour in Sri Lanka. Best of Sri Lanka and Maldives Tour
We are just finishing our Best of Sri Lanka and Maldives tour. The Sri Lanka itinerary was perfect. We saw and experienced so many things: stunning temples, majestic scenery, a beautiful beach, crazy train ride, an old Dutch fort, etc. But it was our guide, Sasika, who made the trip spectacular. I didn’t expect the tour to be just my husband and myself but it worked out great. Sasika was very easy going and fun to be around. He was always generous with advice and recommendations (and he found the best restaurants). He stopped by a roadside stand for fresh coconut milk; if we wanted to stop for anything or do anything, he made it happen. He is an excellent driver and the car was comfortable and cool; and he is really good at group selfies (😁). He made our time in Sri Lanka exciting and memorable. Now for the Maldives. The Maldives was beautiful. The logistics were fine, and we met up with the representative easily but to be honest, the hotel, Kaani Grand Seaview, was only ok. It would have been great if we were in our 20s but not so much when you are in your 70s. The people were nice, the food was ok, the beach was across the street, but the air conditioning just couldn’t handle the hot and humid weather (and we had it checked ) but it never got comfortable in the room, always warm and humid. And because we had an early flight (9:40 am) and the hotel’s earliest transfer was 8 am, we were going to have to pay for our own speed boat transfer to the airport so we just moved to a hotel near the airport for the last night. It was a great hotel, with working air conditioning, including in the restaurant. There was a beach across the street as well, and In truth, Hulhumale was more interesting to walk around than Maafushi. But I do highly recommend this tour company, especially for tours in Sri Lanka. They were very quick to respond to any question I had prior to arriving and Sasika followed up on any question once we were on the tour. I would definitely use them again.

Amazing experiences in Sri Lanka
We really enjoyed our trip through Sri Lanka with BH Lanka. Even before we arrived in Sri Lanka, we had good experiences with the BH Lanka team. Booking was very easy, individual requests were addressed and questions were answered promptly. From the moment we arrived at the airport in Sri Lanka we were always well looked after. Our tour guide Nalin Dissanayake was always at our side and took us good and safely through half the country. He always made sure we were comfortable. He also knows a lot about the country and can always answer any questions you may have. All conversations with him are very pleasant and humorous. He also speaks very good English. We can only recommend a trip to beautiful Sri Lanka. If you would like to book a tour with a guide, you should do so via BH Lanka and ask for Nalin. BH Lanka Grand Tour - Amazing!
The whole tour was great - especially as BH Lanka had arranged fine sunny weather for us every day. All of the sites we visited were lovely and the hotels were all clean, well run and had A/C. Most had pools and the meal standard was very good. The guide and driver that we had (Chinthaka and Lalaith) were great, they knew the roads well and traversed them safely, kept us entertained and explained every query that we had; They also endeavored to get us to the next hotel in time to relax a bit before dinner and ensured that we were well looked after by the staff. Amazing Sri Lanka
Die zweiwöchige Tour mit unserem Guide „Janaka“ war unter Anderem und vor Allem auch aufgrund von Janaka ein unglaublich schöner Urlaub. Es wäre unmöglich gewesen so viele schöne Aspekte und Sehenswürdigkeiten von Sri Lanka zu sehen ohne unseren Guide. Manchmal ist die Zeit ein wenig knapp und es ist manchmal anstrengend, was aber in zwei Wochen natürlich nicht anders möglich ist. Einige der im Paket enthaltenen Aktivitäten sind sehr touristisch und es gibt während der Reise noch einige weitere Kosten. Man wird aber, so hat unser Guide es mehrmals wiederholt, nicht gezwungen etwas zu kaufen. Viele Menschen in Sri Lanka leben nunmal vom Tourismus. Wir möchten uns nochmals bei Janaka für diesen schönen Urlaub und die tollen Erinnerungen bedanken. Lena und Sebastian aus Deutschland:) English version: The two-week tour with our guide "Janaka" was, among other things and mainly because of Janaka, an incredibly beautiful vacation. It would have been impossible to see so many beautiful aspects and sights of Sri Lanka without our guide. Sometimes time is a little tight and it is sometimes exhausting, but of course there is no other way in two weeks. Some of the activities included in the package are very touristy and there are some additional costs during the trip. However, as our guide repeated several times, you are not forced to buy anything. Honeymoon in Sri Lanka!
BH Lanka is a really good tour company. They were easy to work with & completely took on board what we wanted to get out of our tour. Any questions we had were quickly answered & any changes we wanted to make were accommodated (special thanks to Sanju for all of their help with this). We would happily use them again should we return to Sri Lanka in the future! They made the start to our honeymoon easy and free of any complications, couldn’t recommend them more. We did the classic and cultural tour for 12 days. They even took on board some reviews from other people about one of the hotels that had been booked, cancelled it and rebooked another one for us (without us saying anything!), they’re just a really attentive company. Janaka was the best tour guide!! He was so so helpful and kind. We really appreciated his honesty and suggestions surrounding some of the activities. His knowledge of Sri Lanka and its history is extensive and really adds to the experience. Janaka made stops at places/viewpoints along the way at things he thought we might enjoy. He also has a really good eye for spotting animals and birds which was hugely appreciated on the safaris!! We saw so many animals, he’s definitely a good luck charm! Classic & Cultural tour 18 days. Fantastic ancient cities, safaris tea plantations beaches and more
With great affection and a wealth of interesting facts about his beloved country Nishantha guided us knowledgeably through the BH Lanka Classic and Cultural tour - through Sri Lankan history, religions and culture following the “ Journey of the Tooth” and interspersing that with safaris, local experiences, colonial/ tea plantation hill country visit, and beautiful beach and pool time. Nishantha was most thoughtful and through his experience he organised site visits ahead of the crowds. He shared his knowledge and interests and was able to answer all our many questions about Sri Lankan flora and fauna, food, history and the medicinal value of traditional herbs! Nishantha was also very flexible and accommodating. He organised local food for us (our preference) at those hotels that had mainly western menus. He was a careful driver. The tour was an excellent mix of time spent with Nishantha guiding us and time spent on our own. He really made our trip immensely enjoyable and we throughly recommend him as a guide. Thank you. BH Lanka were easy to deal with and responsive. The hotels they chose were on the whole excellent. (Mid range). All were extremely well located especially the Flower Garden Hotel - brilliant position in Ella at the start of the road to Mini Adams peak. with a delightful breakfast/ restaurant area set in the garden nursery of orchids, succulents and cacti with spectacular views of Ella Peak. The Hotel Sigirya with its view of the rock and the Miridiya Lake Resort Anuradhapura were the standouts. The Ekho Safari Hotel on the lake at Tissamaharama was a bit in need maintenance but the people and hospitality were lovely as at all the stays. We have had a wonderful time in Sri Lanka and could not fault BH Lanka. The tour had long full on days the first week and was a bit more relaxed towards the end. Perfect. Bring lots of cash for tips and note March is the hottest and most humid month in the ancient cities area and a bit early to visit Trincomalee as the snorkeling / diving season starts in April.

Grand Tour
We visited most of the “must see” places in Sri Lanka. Udara, our driver guide was friendly, and provided us information about the places we visited, tipping local guides and places where we can buy things. He expertly navigated the narrow roads of the Sri Lankan countryside. Almost all of the hotels are very nice. go sri lanka!!!
we had a lovely time getting to know sri lanka. the places in the itinerary gave us insights to the historical, religious and present day conditions of the country. the accommodations provided a sweet spot from the heat - beach and pool facilities, balcony views, comfortably spacious rooms and varied choices at the buffet. udara our driver/guide facilitated our visit competently and efficiently, giving commentary to the sites we visited, suggesting tweaks to the schedule to adjust to our energy levels due to the heat, introducing us to snacks and drinks like cashews and king coconut and navigating necessities like money changing, etiquette etc.
